This page explains what happens to your photos and data when you use FaceQuest.
Your photos
- When you add a photo, your browser checks it on your device first. It finds face landmarks to give photo tips, measure proportions and cut close-ups of your skin. This step downloads a face model from Google and jsDelivr, and your photo stays on your device.
- When you press Analyze, your photos, the skin close-ups, the proportions and any answers you gave are sent to OpenAI. OpenAI writes the analysis and plan and makes the preview images.
- FaceQuest does not save your photos, close-ups or answers. They are used for that one scan and then discarded.
- OpenAI handles what it receives under its own policies, which cover how long it keeps request data.
What is saved
- Your email address and password. Supabase stores the password as a one-way hash, so no one can read it.
- For each scan: the date, the written analysis, the plan, and the AI-generated preview images. The previews are edited versions of your front photo, so they show your face.
Who handles your data
- Supabase: accounts and the database.
- OpenAI: the analysis, plan and preview images.
- Resend: account emails, such as the confirmation link.
- Vercel: hosts the website.
Cookies
- Only the cookies that keep you signed in, plus one that remembers your email for an hour while you confirm your account. No analytics, advertising or tracking.
Deleting your data
- Delete any scan from its results page.
- Delete all your scans, or your whole account, from the Account page. Deleting your account removes your email, password and every scan. It can't be undone.
Who can use FaceQuest
- FaceQuest is free, invite-only and for people 18 and over. The analysis and previews are AI-generated and illustrative. They are not medical advice.
Questions
- FaceQuest is run privately by the person who invited you. Ask them about your data, or to delete it for you.
